Application

This 12/20kV single core AWA armoured power cable is engineered with a lightweight aluminium wire armour layer over an XLPE insulated aluminium conductor. It delivers excellent mechanical protection, corrosion resistance and reliable performance for medium voltage power transmission, and is widely deployed in:

• Urban power grids (underground duct and direct burial installation)
• Industrial plants and heavy equipment power supply
• Substations and transformer connections
• Renewable energy systems (solar and wind grid connection)

Construction

• Conductor: Class 2 stranded compacted aluminium conductor
• Conductor shield: Semi-conductive compound
• Insulation: XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene)
• Insulation shield: Peelable semi-conductive compound
• Metallic screen: Copper tape
• Armour: AWA (aluminium wire armour)
• Outer sheath: PVC or PE (black)
