Aluminum Power Cable Shipment to Sierra Leone Bauxite Export Terminal Successfully Clears Customs
Zhongdong Cable is pleased to announce that a shipment of aluminum power cables delivered to Sierra Leone in September 2026 has successfully cleared customs. The cables are intended for a bauxite export terminal project supporting inland waterway transportation, marking another delivery of our industrial power cable products for an overseas infrastructure application.
Aluminum Power Cables for Industrial Infrastructure
The shipment included two types of low-voltage aluminum power cables: YJLV22 steel tape armored cable and YJLV unarmored cable. The supplied cable sizes ranged from 3×10+1×6 mm² to 3×240+1×120 mm², covering different power distribution requirements within the project.
The cable specifications were as follows:

YJLV22 Armored Aluminum Power Cable: Aluminum conductor, XLPE insulation, steel tape armor and PVC outer sheath.

YJLV Unarmored Aluminum Power Cable: Aluminum conductor, XLPE insulation and PVC outer sheath.
With cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation and aluminum conductors, these cable types are commonly used in low-voltage power distribution applications. The armored YJLV22 construction provides additional mechanical protection, while the unarmored YJLV design offers an alternative for installations where steel tape armor is not required.
